It's never too early to start planning for college, at least that's what administrators and staff at Fairlawn believe.
In
2009, Fairlawn was accepted as the first No Excuses University (NEU)
campus in Indiana. As a NEU school, Fairlawn joins a network of
elementary, middle, and junior high schools across the United States.
These schools actively promote a comprehensive model of college
readiness to all students the moment they begin elementary school.
As
a NEU school, Fairlawn exposes its students to powerful college
symbolism. This symbolism is seen in the college flags and banners hung
on classroom doors, partnerships with local universities and hard in
the college chants that exist in the school.
